How do I get a Firedash account?

Accounts are provisioned by your brigade's Firedash administrator. If you do not have credentials yet, ask your administrator to send you an invitation from the brigade's Firedash console.

I forgot my password — how do I reset it?

On the login screen, tap "Forgot password" and enter the email on your account. You will receive a reset link within a few minutes. If it does not arrive, check your spam folder, and ask your brigade administrator to confirm that the email on your account is correct.

I'm not receiving push notifications.

Open your device settings and confirm that notifications are enabled for Firedash, that Do Not Disturb is off, and that the app has been opened at least once since installation. If the problem persists, sign out and back in — this refreshes the push token registered with the server.

Why does the app ask for my location, including in the background?

Location is used to place you on the incident map and, if your brigade has enabled it for you, to trigger location-based alerts when you enter or leave a defined area. Location data stays within the Firedash service for your brigade and is not shared with advertising networks.

Why does the app need camera and microphone access?

The camera is used to scan QR codes and attach photos to incidents or activities. The microphone is used only while you have a two-way streaming room open. Both permissions can be revoked at any time in your device settings.

Does Firedash work without an internet connection?

Firedash is an online system. Previously loaded data stays visible briefly when connectivity drops, but new incidents, crew responses, and device state updates require a live connection.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Email [email protected] with a short description, screenshots if possible, and the platform (iOS, Android, web) and app version you are using.

Delete your account or your data

You can request deletion of your Firedash account and personal account data at any time. There is no charge for ordinary requests, and we respond within 30 days.

How to request deletion

  1. Send an email to [email protected] from the address on your Firedash account.
  2. Use the subject line "Account deletion request" and, if possible, include the name of your brigade.
  3. We verify your identity, delete your personal account data from active systems, and confirm completion in writing within 30 days.

Operational records — for example your contribution to a historical incident log — remain under the control of your brigade and are governed by its own retention policy. If you need those records reviewed, corrected, or removed, contact your brigade administrator.

Report a security issue

If you discover a security vulnerability in Firedash, please report it responsibly by emailing [email protected] with the subject line "Security report". We acknowledge reports within two business days and keep you informed until a fix is released. Please do not disclose the issue publicly before we have had a chance to address it.

Billing and refunds

Firedash is provided to brigades under a service contract; the Firedash mobile app does not offer in-app purchases or direct paid downloads. For billing or refund questions, contact your brigade administrator or write to [email protected].
